I've always been completely mesmerized by the sound a keyboard makes, and the pure utilitarian function this device offers us. From the days of the old IBM, Honeywell and Siemens keyboards, all the way up till now, the days where a keyboard can be an extension of ones personality and creativity. They've become functional art pieces, one just needs to take a look at all the available Custom keyboards out there. Varying from a couple of Hundred Rand all the way up to Thousands and Thousands of Rand, the entry point to this hobby can be accessible to anyone, but being in South Africa, getting access to truly customized accessories is extremely difficult and expensive to import.
This is where we come in. We offer products and services to the Custom Keyboard Community, from a simple Artisan Keycap through to full Customized Keyboard Commissions.
Keyboard Kulture was initially conceptualized in 2020, the year the world went crazy. Stuck at home for nearly 9 months, I had to do something creative to keep my mind from imploding on itself. I had recently taken up the hobby of Custom Mechanical Keyboards for the second time (I have been dabbling with keyboards ever since my first Mechanical Keyboard in 1990).
Not everything we do is available on this website, purely because there are so many aspects to this hobby. I urge you to reach out to us and discuss anything and everything to do with Keyboards. If we can't help you, we can most probably point you in the right direction.
Everything we do and sell, is handmade and one of a kind. We will gladly try and accommodate you with regards to your design and theme as much as we can, and make your setup exactly the way you want it.
For us, this is a labor of love, and everything we do is the way we would want it done.
